The Smart Way to See Oahu Without Overspending
Oahu is full of incredible attractions but seeing everything can get expensive fast. That is where the Go Oahu Pass was a game-changer for us.
The Go Oahu Pass is a digital attraction pass that gives you access to many of Oahu’s top experiences at one upfront cost. There are two pass options: the Explorer Pass, where you can choose a set number of attractions to visit, and the All-Inclusive Pass, which gives unlimited access to all included attractions. The pass is available online and can be downloaded directly to your phone, so there is no need to print anything. Prices vary depending on the pass type and number of days.
The Go Oahu Pass includes over thirty attractions across the island, including luaus, cultural centers, museums, beaches, hiking experiences, snorkeling tours, and family-friendly activities. This is definitely one of the best ways to see Oahu and get the most bang for your buck.
You can buy the pass directly from the Go City website.
We chose the All-Inclusive Pass to make the most of our time on the island. The attractions we selected included Aloha Kai Luau, Polynesian Cultural Center, Kualoa Secret Island Beach Half Day, Whale Watching Tour, USS Arizona Pearl Harbor, Pacific Fleet Submarine Museum, Aviation Museum of the Pacific, and Battleship Missouri Memorial.
We chose the 2-day pass and squeezed in what we could in those two days with good planning. These experiences would have added up to a significant amount if we had purchased tickets individually.
Here is a rough breakdown of the costs if we had purchased each attraction separately:
Total without the pass for four people: $2316
Cost of the All-Inclusive Pass for four people: $856
Total savings: $1460
The pass paid for itself after just a few activities, making it a huge money saver for our trip.
Travel Tips
Check each attraction’s schedule and closed days before planning your visit. Some attractions close on certain weekdays and may have seasonal hours.
Make reservations for excursions like luaus or guided tours ahead of time, as these can fill up quickly.
Allow plenty of time between attractions, especially if traveling across the island, to avoid feeling rushed.
Use the pass early in your trip if you have a multi-day pass to maximize value.
