Natural Hot Springs Pool in Glenwood Springs, Colorado

Soaking in natural healing water with a snowy mountain view in Glenwood Hot Springs Pool was definitely an experience we would not soon forget. They have a warmer pool at 104F, and a large pool with a milder 90F temperature.

We did not stay at the resort, but we were able to purchase a day pass to access the pool. Because we visited during the high season, the rates were slightly higher than usual, $35/adult and $22/child. However, we felt that it was worth it and we had a great time swimming and enjoying the view.

There were plenty of visitors when we were there. The warmer 104F pool could get a bit crowded but it was still enjoyable. The 90F pool was larger and there were plenty of room for everybody. Our kids are usually not big fans of the hot tubs, but they loved the pools here.

They do not provide bath robes but you can rent towels if you don’t bring your own. The locker rooms are big and clean, especially the one on the second floor. The lockers were free for use, which was nice.

We felt so relaxed after visiting the hot springs. It was the perfect way to soothe all the sore muscles from skiing and snowboarding.

Glenwood Springs is about an hour and a half drive from Vail. The roads were cleaned but still a little icy due to a winter storm the night before we left. The views, however, were amazing the entire time, which made for an enjoyable drive.

Please DRIVE SAFELY! We saw a car flipped upside down right in front of our eyes because they were driving too fast and lost control of their car. My husband and a few other people stopped to help them out and thankfully both passengers were okay.

Tips

Take Breaks

It’s possible to get dizzy or light-headed after spending too much time in the hot pools. Be sure to take interval breaks and drink plenty of water.

Bring Your Towels

They don’t provide bath robes and towels can be rented. However, the rental towels look thin and a little dirty. Bring your own towels or robes!

Drive Safely

Road conditions going to Glenwood Springs can be icy during bad weather. Choose a 4-wheel or all wheel drive car, slow down, and drive safely!
